The Groups panel allows you to control fixtures in groups, for ease of programming.

There is a default group called "All Fixtures" that always contains... all fixtures.

Creating a Group

Press the "Add New Group" button to create a new group and set its Label. (Label is the only settable property for groups - ID is automatically assigned.)

Adding Fixtures to a Group

You can then drag fixtures from the patch on the left into the group to add them.

Deleting and Copying a Group

If you right click on the group name you can delete the group, duplicate the group, and duplicate it multiple times (for instance if you need to make several variations on a similar group).

<aside> 🐡 At this time, Groups are a logical programming tool, but are not actually modeled in the cues.

This means that if you program with a group, and then change group members, that change will not be reflected in the showfile.
